When ZAQ Designs and Publishing first began operations in 2012, our business model was that of a professional book and eBook design company that provided high quality, award winning cover design services to several small publishers around the United States. In 2025, the ZAQ Publishing division merged with Electric Moon Publishing to form a sister publishing company called Black Nova Press. The stride of Black Nova now extends far beyond cover designs and eBooks!
The services Black Nova provides are a writer's smorgasbord, without the runny-nosed child who licks all the spoons. Instead, we offer a pure, cutting-edge, and fresh approach to publishing. Simplified and delivered directly to you for your convenience.

Black Nova generally publishes fiction, nonfiction, young adult, and children's books in the Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Dystopian, Crime Thriller, Sci-Fi Horror and Space Opera genres.
